Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

With the establishment of Manuel Antonio National Park in 1972, the people of Costa Rica decided to preserve for future generations one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse areas in the world. Although it is the country's smallest national park, the stunning beauty and diversity of wildlife in its 4.249 acres is what makes this place a must see for every visitor in the country.

Manuel Antonio offers a charming combination of rain forest, beaches and coral reefs. This beautiful park is home to sloths, three species of monkeys (white faced, squirrel, howler), iguanas, and millions of colourful little land crabs. Some of the trails afford spectacular ocean views.

Our naturalist guides will take you on an amazing jungle experience. The goal of the Manuel Antonio Expeditions team is to share and teach you about Manuel Antonio’s best nature secrets. Walk for about 3 miles on easy trails searching for unique animals and plants. During our tour you will learn about the symbiotic relationship between many animals and plants. Let us help you get your own ¨national geographic¨ type photos with your digital camera through any of our top of the line spotting scopes.

The size of our grups tours are about 10 people maxx for each tour guide. Private tours can also be arrange and the price depends of the number of people for the tour.

Price of the tour: Regular $46 per person
Tour includes: transportation, entrance fees,  and naturalist tour guide with spotting equipment.
Length of the tour: 3 hours.
What to bring: camera, binoculars, insect repellent, sun screen, light clothes, hiking shoes or TEVAS style sandals. (Bathing suit and towel if planning to stay on the beach in the Park after the tour), light poncho from May thru December.

Special Price: $25p/p Plus $16 admission fee
The price is plus admission entrance fee $16p/p and we can meet near the park entrance for the tour. This way you can drive your rent a car, if you have one.

Mangrove Boat Tour.

Welcome to Manuel Antonio Expeditions Mangrove tour. Our experienced naturalist guides will take you on a special journey through this amazing habitat that features caimans, boa constrictors, crocodiles, monkeys and over 100 species of local and migrating birds. Damas Island is one of the last major mangrove areas, protected in the central pacific. This place fulfills an important role in Costa Rica's rich biodiversity. It is not uncommon to spot herons, sand pipers, egrets and many other endemic or migrant bird species. You may get the chance to see the white-face monkeys up close or even see the rare silky anteater, all from the comfort of your boat.
Our boats have capacity for 10 passengers and use 4 stroke engines to provide a smooth, comfortable ride. Damas Mangrove is one of the most recommended tours for wildlife in Manuel Antonio.

Countryside Bird Watching Tour

Starting as early as 6:00am, we will take you to different birding spots away from the crowded tourist places. Experience the real Costa Rican countryside on your way to an amazing bird watching adventure. You will be able to see tanagers, trogons, toucans, parrots, motmots, hummingbirds, hawks, euphonies, among many other species. Our bird watching tour is about 3 hours.

Bring your digital camera and we will take photos through our high-powered scope.
